I have worked for over 20 years in technical textiles, and for over 18 years, I have a business relationship with Porcher Industries. During this period, I have witnessed Porcher Sports Ind´s innovations and the development of many high-tech technical textiles for different purposes. Porcher Ind. has great experience in the case of lightweight ripstop fabrics used for high-performance products under extreme pressures, like paragliders, balloons, parachutes, and car airbags, which created now the new generation of Downwindsail fabrics for again use under extreme conditions.

Our target was creating the best fabric and in doing so, meeting sailors' wishes but much more, reaching their visions. The development of the fabrics took more than four years of development and research. We spent great efforts with the entire development team, conducted many long-term tests, and collected all parameters and customers' needs and wishes to make the best Downwind sail fabrics made only for this purpose.
